TIRES - SIDEWALL
05/01/200644000106/11/2003
My wife was driving along interstate 40 and one of the tires blew out. she wasn't injured, nor was there any damage to the vehicle. we took the vehicle into a local tire shop and they stated that the tire wasn't punctured, that the tread wall collapsed and they recommened new tires. the original tires were firestone wilderness with 44,000 miles on a 2003 chevy tahoe. the vehicle and tires were less than 3 years old.

Firestone tires fr680, 215/70r15. replaced the tires on the front of my vehicle at 25,000 miles due to severe flat spotting & steel chords showing. the rear tires are perfect. chevy dealer and tire store both confirmed no alignment issues are present. the tires are really deffective. i had the rear tires moved to the front and bought new tires for the rear. the same wearing occurred, so bought a new set of four. there has not be any problem since.*ak
