| Goodyear, wrangler rt/s safety defects - sidewall bulges and bumps. only 8,000-miles on the tires. the first sign that something wrong was the development of an oscillating rotational noice when driving. it grew louder with time. i took the vehicle to a gm dealer to check the bearings, brakes, allignment, , etc. for a porblem. none was found. then a thumping sound at low speeds developed. i had the auto dealer install my snow tires and all unusual sounds and thumps disappeared. the tire manufacturer asked me to take the tires to a local dealer for an inspection. the dealer says that sidewall bulges and bumps are normal and that goodyear will not replace the defective tires. there are only about 8,000-miles on the goodyear wrangler tires. i can only believe that there is a serious manufacturing and safety defect with tires that develop bulges, bumps, make rotational sounds and thumping noises. i think there could be a serious safety defect at hand that the manufacturer will not acknowledge and repair through tire replacement and investigation of the problem. prompt action could save lives, apparently not a top priority. *ak | |||

| Problems with removing the spare tire. took to several tire stores and they could not remove it. both tire vendors said they have had problems with the spare tire. after taking truck back to dealer they said they would have to cut someting on the fram and it would be $40. this obviously has happened before and should be covered.*ak | |||
