| Terrible clunking sound in the front end of my 2007 cobalt. dealer says its control arm bushings and sway bar links. personal mechanic confirmed the sway bar links needed to be replaced, but also saw that the arm bushings were in perfect condition and perfectly tight. replaced links, but noise persists. when trying to find out what to do next i went to the internet where i discovered this seems to be a widespread problem. help please and investigate so gm can recall the faulty materials. | |||

| Tl. the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet cobalt. the contact stated after locking the door with the remote keyless entry hours later the doors will unlock on there own. the contact change the batteries in the remote and that did not remedied the issue. the contact also brought another keyless entry remote and that did not remedied the issue as well. the contact called the manufacturer regarding the doors unlocking and the manufacturer could not provide any assistance to the contact. the contact stated the vehicle could be broken into due the doors unlocking. the failure mileage was 105,000. jo | |||

| Chrome plated door handle on 2007 chevy cobalt. the chrome has come off and sliced opened my hand. you are taking to long to force gm to recall vehicles with bad handles. you are already investigating the 2007 tahoe for the same problem. now that we are all part owner of gm and taxpayers keep nhtsa running, stop taking so long with the red tape and do the right thing. | |||

| My 2007 chevrolet cobalt lt sedan has door lock issues. the car will not unlock using the remote until the 15th time of hitting the botton. some times more, some times less. both of my remote batteries have been replaced and circuits soldered. nothing is helping. the problem could be the computer or the door lock accutator or something entirely different. | |||

| Within a month of purchasing a new 2007 chevy cobalt - i began hearing rattling noises from my vehicle. i have had the car in for repairs numerous times. multiple components have been replaced and or repaired. i currently have 15,000 miles on the vehicle - to this day i can still hear rattling noises and clunking noise coming from the steering-suspension. the mechanics have now told me they don't know what's wrong and suggested i try a different dealership. i have contacted chevy and received no help in settling this issue. if chevy would of had their return policy when i purchased - i would of gladly returned the vehicle - i make car payments on a lemon. i don't even like my daughter to ride in the vehicle for fear of her safety. i fear i will be driving down the road the front end will fall apart. it scares me to death. *tr | |||

| Power steering indicator light came on while i was out and about running errands (at least 3 times). fortunately, i was able to pull over, stop and start again. it would run fine for a short while and the light would come on again. i also experienced a great deal of trouble 7/17/09 with the key getting stuck in the ignition and it not turning. i have recently spent $1,600 plus to repair/replace the cylinder head gasket. *tr | |||

| Entered car (driver's side) and did not close door completely. door ajar indicator did not remain lit. drove away and while driving door opened. no car was in opposing lane (2 lane road) so nothing was struck by the open door. my safety complaint is that the door ajar light turns off before it should (before the door is completely closed and latched. i took the car to the dealer today (10/19) and explained the concern. they agreed that it was a problem and actually tested several other cars (same model) on the new car lot and found that they all had the same problem. they also tested the passenger side door and it had the same problem. they spoke with their regional rep and were told that it was a known characteristic of the vehicle and nothing could be done to fix it. i then called the general motors national customer assistance center and was told exactly the same thing. in my opinion this is a serious safety problem since the car does not warn you that the door is not completely closed and latched as it should. *nm | |||
