VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
04/21/2010356401
I was driving on the highway and tried to use the cruise control and it didn't work. my brake lights were also not working. i didn't know my brake lights were not working until i had to slow down for a car in front of me and a car behind me almost hit me. it wasn't until i got off the expressway and a man told me my brake lights were not working. i checked the fuses and they are all in working order. i called my local dealership and the told me that my 2007 chevy colorado was not part of the recall even though there was a recall for this sort of problem. he said my vin number was not one of those recalled. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet colorado truck. he stated that over a year ago he crashed into a vehicle since the brake and accelerator pedal design was defective. the gas pedal is too close to the brake pedal; therefore, sometime when he engaged the brake pedal his foot also stepped on the accelerator pedal. the dealer stated that there was nothing that they could do to adjust the pedals. the failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 66,000. the vin was not available. updated 02/23/10. *lj

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet colorado. while driving between 15 and 55 mph, the accelerator pedal becomes stuck. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer on three different occasions and was informed that nothing was wrong with the vehicle. after the most recent failure occurred, the vehicle was towed to the dealer because the contact was afraid a crash would occur. he also stated that the vehicle revs when it is started. the vehicle has been at the dealer for a week. the current and failure mileages were 10,100.
