| I have had my equinox since 2008; it is a 2007 model. i have had continual repairs on the electrical rear lights and the belt tensioner, but this next repair is by far the worst. when the car was in park position the odor of gasoline was strong around the perimeter of the car. when driving, the smell of gas circulated into the air conditioning system penetrating the inside of the car. the smell was strongest on the outer side by the gas tank. i took the car to get a diagnostic test and found a leak above the gas tank. further inspection revealed the fuel pump was leaking gasoline, about six inches from the muffler. this defect could have resulted in serious injury or fatalities as i regularly carry children in the back seat. this car is only 5 years old and it seems to require too many repairs for the few years/miles it has traveled. as a thoughtful vehicle owner, i take precautions to preserve the life of my vehicle through regular maintenance and covered storage from natural elements. certainly these kinds of defects are not an expected occurrence in this kind of vehicle. disappointed equinox owner :( *tr | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet equinox. the contact was driving approximately 25 mph with the headlights in activation and suddenly the headlights failed to operate. the contact continued to drive with extreme caution. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated there was an accumulation of water in both headlight lens. the technician replaced both headlight bulbs and the water was drained from both headlight lens. the manufacturer and dealer were made aware of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was 70,000. js | |||

| I have had my 2007 equinox sense 2007 and the first few month the left headlight went out and then afew months later it went ou again this headlight has went out 5 times and the left headlight has went out about 3 times and each time it goes to westgate chevorlet they can not find anything wrong but they are charging me each time i take it in now. the left headlight is out again so do i need to get a lawyer because i do not think that i should pay for something that keeps happening. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet equinox. the contact stated that when a passenger is seated in the front passenger seat, the air bag indicator illuminates repeatedly. she stated that there has to be a weight limit in order for the indicator to dim. the dealer stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign id number 07v344000 (air bags:frontal:sensor/control module). the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 22,039 and current mileage was 22,070. updated 3/12/09 *cn the traction control activated on dry pavement. it made steering the vehicle next to impossible. the headlights had to be replaced. the all wheel light illuminated. updated 03/16/09. *jb | |||
