While merging on the expressway the transmission failed to shift out of first or second gear causing high engine rpm's . i had to shift into neutral and back into drive several times but it still failed to shift into any gear. i had to put on flashers ( heavy traffic ) and make my way to the emergency lane. when i came to a complete stop and shifted back into drive it shifted correctly. i have had this problem for several months to present date. i took the van to the dealership who said they could not replicate the problem and their were no code reports so they could not fix the issue. this is still a very real danger for my family ( seven children ) because this malfunction occurs while at high speeds usally while entering the expressway.
