SERVICE BRAKES
01/30/201343900
After backing out of a parking space, stopping, and proceeding forward i attempted to again apply the brake after about 150 feet of moving forward. the brake pedal was hard but the brakes were not being applied at all. it made no difference even when applying much additional pressure to the pedal. it felt like the abs was preventing the brakes from working as i coasted to a stop. after a brief amount of time the brakes seemed to work normally. it has now happened two additional times after the car has been sitting for a number of hours.
STEERING
08/21/2012500004
While driving on the interstate at app. 70-75 miles per hour in moderate to heavy traffic the power steering turned off. i was able to pull off onto the shoulder and park. i shut down the engine to check under the hood and under the car but could find nothing obvious. when i restarted the car to drive to the next off-ramp the power steering was back. the problem repeated 3 more times that trip. shutting off the car and restarting always corrects the problem. since than we have had the same problem occur intermittently. no pattern as to when problem occurs. *tr
