I have a 2005 chevrolet impala ls v6 3800 series.the volume of the horn was fluctuating after about 3 years & now it could hardly be heard. i never had a horn that wears out,i believe it is defective & is a safety hazard. lou bachrodt's chevrolet 954-247-3000 had me wit until i hung up,they would fix it only if i paid to replace it. *tr

2005 impala about 7 months ago the horn started to get weaker and weaker until in the last couple of weeks it just quit. when it started the vehicle was only 2 years old and purchased new it had 72k plus miles to date at the time there were approx 61k miles on the vehicle. in texas part of the state inspection is to have an operable horn, both the horns in front had to be replaced at a cost of $325. the vehicle was not covered under the manufactures warranty due to the number of miles. but again for state inspections this is a safety related part. *tr
