Reduced engine power service code p2138. on 05/01/2012 while driving through an intersection my engine power was reduced to 3, maybe 5 mph. i was trying to get through that intersection without the acceleration that was so desperately needed. this is definitely a safety issue. in addition to being concerned about getting into an accident, i'm fearful i will be the one causing a fatal pile up. i have been to the chevrolet dealer 4 times and they were unable to fix this problem.

Is or was or has this car had any recalls. for a 2006 veh with only 54,104 miles on it and have to put out the money to pay for work on a car with electrical problems, so far (intercontrol module) is not right. this problem caused the whole car to not respond at all (in luck we were at home when this happened)but, if we were gone it could have been a disaster if this would have happened while driving it shuts the whole car down, this is a disaster waiting to happen. please help

The driver side sun visor will no longer stay up and falls down obstructing forward vision. i've gone on the internet and this is a somewhat common occurrence on the impala. gm has no repair for it other than replacement. a new visor costs 125.00 plus installation. i think it should be a recall based on safety.

Bought the car new in may 2006 & have had the car in the shop 25x plus. the vehicle is e-85 however unless i want to have trouble with the vehicle i have not run that kind of fuel in the car. the trailing arm busted in half 4/09. i have contacted the better business bureau who said that because the problems prior to the trailing arm busting were not considered life threatening they could not consider the car a lemon. i have contacted gmc & bob brown chevy in urbandale, ia regard the above issues. however all they want to do is patchup the problems instead of completely correcting the problem. i have documentation & parts to follow up with all of the above stated problems. *tr

I'm a faithful customer of s&j since childhood and my mother purchased her vehicles there. up to this point i thought i could trust your service department to do honest work on my 2006 chevy impala. indeed this did not happen! my vehicle has returned about 8 times for same or similar problem. fernado is a great customer attendant, but he does not work on my car, so what i feel is not directed towards him. here is a list of chain of events that i have inquired since ownership of my new-used chevy in feb. 2007. i have a new chevy impala. within a year of ownership, the car has been to the dealer 8 times for major repairs (none due to my own fault)! *tr
