The rear defogger does not work. nothing happened, it just quit working. when you push the rear defogger button on the front panel, the light lights up showing it is working, but it isn't working on the rear window. it is hazardous because you can't see out of the rear window with frost and even snow built up on it while driving. i find this a big big problem when i cant go far snow builds up to fast. one other time the wipers stopped for no reason in the middle of my veiw. when i stopped at the gas station i shut it all down went got a pop came back out and started the car and then they started to work again not a good situation.

2007 chevrolet impala has strong odor (skunk-like smell) that radiates from the vehicle's interior when the outside climate begins to warm up. gm issued a tsb (#08-08-110-019) for the problem, but will not repair vehicles that are out of warranty. the problem pertains to incorrect parts (a rubber brake booster boot and instrument panel insulator pad) installed in vehicles between january 1 2007 and march 1 2007 that emit this odor. the smell is so severe at times that it causes severe headaches and nausea to the vehicles occupants. on several occasions, the car had to be stopped and all occupants exit while the car aired-out. surely, strong chemicals are being disbursed in a small space that is making people sick and gm needs to address this issue.

This is a request in order that the dot will begin (suggestion) for monthly us inspection to determine the defects and recalls and maintenance deficiencies on all police ford and chevrolet vehicles. this request is for monthly inspections on motorcycles and ambulance vehicles (by us dot) and fire vehicles to help promote safety of motorists and pedestrian, bicyclists. the assumption is that most city, county, state police type vehicles are 2007 or 2008. *tr

Since i have had my impala i have had several problems with the ca. the first problem that i noticed was that my windsheild wiper fluid stop coming out after on having the car a few months, i later found out that the motor had gone out. another problem that im having is that the check tire service light continues to come on even after, tires have been filled and replaced, i have also noticed that on occasions many of the other service lights come on like check airbags, and brakes even sfter car has been serviced. my biggest issue is that my transmission fluid has begun to leak out my car and no one not even the dealership can figure out where or why its leaking. this causes the car to hesitate and jerk upon acceleration. reading a lot of the forums out i'm not the only person having these problems and i think that an investigstion should be done on the impala.
