Tl*the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala. the contact stated that the traction control light and the engine light illuminated at the same time which caused the vehicle to reduce power while driving. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed her that the pedal sensor or the wiring harness could have caused the failure to occur. the dealer performed a diagnostic test but could not duplicate the failure. the vehicle will not be repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and informed her to take the vehicle to the dealer but they could not repair the failure. the failure mileage was 70,534.

I have a 2008 chevy impala, nice car unless it snows. it is undrivable in the smow. its like driving on ice, i have never ever had any car handle like this. it is the most unsafe car i have ever driven. something needs to be done the draler says to bring it in next time it smows, well i can't, i will not drive it in the snow. i have been in the ditch 3 times this winter ( and its only the firts of january)and each time i was only going no morer than 30mph and swaying all over the road, all the other cars were moving along norrmally it wasn't bad out, just a little snow. it's like driving on ice...

2008 impala has bad gas pedal while you are driving the traction light and engine light comes on you lose a lot of the engine power until the traction light goes off this is very dangerous. i called gmc and took it to a dealer they put it on the machine first i was told it was censer in the pedal. next i was told it was the wiring harness. by the same dealer now i dont know what to do i think something dangersous should be fixed by the dealer but they say it is not covered.

2008 impala ls,with new tires.have never driven a car that handles worse in the snow. the traction control system is a joke. it actually makes driving in the snow unpredictable and unfamiliar. i am very experienced on ice and snow but this car makes me feel unsafe because it is. i wish i would have never purchased this car based on this reason. all this in only 1 1/2 inches of dry snow.
