 Transmission experienced several problems, cv joint went out due to no grease from factory, clunking noise, slipping, syncho-ring fork and sprocket assembly broke in the transfer case, rated to pull 7000 lbs, outside experts recommend not pulling over 1000 lbs, transfer case went out, consumer states that the transmissions are rated at a far higher capacity than what they are capable of handling. *slc

 Automatic transmission malfunctioned when shifting gears. it will take 4 long seconds in order to engage, which may cause an accident. dealer claims it is part of the vehicle's charateristic. please provide further information. *ak

 Tl*the contact owns a 1994 chevrolet k1500. the contact took his vehicle to a repair shop for routine inspection and the inspector smelled gasoline. the inspector noticed that the frame had excessive rust and the fuel and transmission lines failed. as of december 1, 2008, the technician stated the vehicle is unable to be repaired. the failure and current mileages were 99,000. updated 12/22/08. *lj updated 12/22/08. *jb the consumer stated he filed a complaint over a year ago and has not heard anything. he was told he would receive paperwork. updated 03/12/10 updated 03/22/10
