| Defect Summary | Vehicle description: passenger vehicles and mini vans originally sold or currently registered in the following states: connecticut, illinois, indiana, maine, massachusetts, michigan, new hampshire, new jersey, new york, ohio, pennsylvania, rhode island, vermont and wisconsin. the rear cradle bolts pull through the retainers due to corrosion of the retainer. if both bolts pull through, the rear cradle would not longer be supported at these mounting locations and the steering intermediate shaft can separate from the steering gear. | |||||||||||||||

| While changing front disc pads a piece of rubber was noticed hanging, further investigation found the rear subframe mount missing the washer and allowing a gap of aprox 1/2 inch between frame members, while looking through internet for imformation on filures ofthis part i found recall investigation 97v0058000 which discussed alleged subframe //insulator failure which resulted in recall 97v058000. the vechicle was purchased andoriginally registered in michigan which according to recall is the basis for the recall issued. upon contacting numbers given for gm i was told that vechicle was not under recall, this does not seem correct, all gm stated was vechile was not under warrenty please advise | |||
