| 2001 chevy s-10 four cylinder automatic appeared to be dead. when key inserted and turned over there were no lights on dash. after it sat a few seconds i attempted to restart engine. all dash lights and gauges appeared to come on. the radio was reset to 1:00 as if all systems had went dead. there was a whining noise coming through into the cab of the truck and all the dash lights seemed to flicker. this has happened three times in the last four days. all instances are for just a few seconds and then everything appears to be okay on the restart except that the clock has always reset to 1:00. the last instance today occurred as i started the truck and left a parking space. i got about 50 feet and the vehicle died and coasted to a stop with all dash lights inoperative. when i turned key off for just a few seconds and then attempted to restart again everything came back on and the clock was reset to 1:00. *jb | |||

| Gm and/or chevrolet has never attempted to contact me or deliver notices of recalls or any of the 84 service bulletins which are currently issued for this vehicle. i have complained to gm and the dealership but have received no answer or response at all. *nm | |||
