| Tl. the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet s-10. the contact stated the plastic door handle inside the driver side rear jump door has broken numerous times. the contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer eight times to have the handle replaced. the contact stated the door handle has broke right after the dealer replaced the handle. the contact has notice numerous complaints regarding the inside jump door handle for this year make and model. the contact stated this is major safety issue because children ride in the back seat of the vehicle and if a crash occurs the children could be trapped inside. the failure mileage was 90,000. jo | |||

| The 3rd door handle/latch on our extended cab 2003 chevy s-10 recently broke for the fourth time. this occurs approximately every 8-10 months. the vehicle is used for personal use only. the 3rd door is opened/closed approximately 10 times a week. the dealer has worked with us on this and we do not believe that it is a service department issue. we believe that the part is either designed improperly or manufactured from substandard material. we are deeply concerned that this is a safety issue. if a person or animal was being transported in the extended cab area and the handle/latch failed in an emergency where a speedy exit from the vehicle was critical, loss of life could occur. we believe this problem is important and requires an immediate solution. *tr *updated 12/12/07 *bf updated 12/12/07 | |||
