| I read in the news that nhtsa was investigating gm s series pickups for the spare tire carrier failing. this unit failed while backing out of a drive way. the only damage is to the spare tire carrier itself. if everyone with a failure will notify you, it will give more weight to your case. if this had failed on the expressway, it could have had disasterous results. | |||
