EXTERIOR LIGHTING - HEADLIGHTS

While driving at night with my headlights on i turned on the highbeam lights. they worked fine for about thirty seconds but then i lost all my interior and exterior lights. i turned the highbeams off and all my interior and exterior lights came back on. this is the only time this has happened. i was on vacation at the time and upon my arrival home i took it to the dealer named (on oct. 11). they checked the light system (according to the service writer) both electronically and visually but could not ascertain what caused the problem. i want to add that i have had a problem from time to time with the headlights not coming on when on turn the switch on that controls them. i have also had the truck back to the dealer for this problem at least once, while it was still under warranty, but they could not duplicate the problem so this problem has never been corrected either. if i keep turning the lights on and off eventually they do always come on, so far. this is the first time i ever had a problem with the h ighbeams, though. also, for about the last 18 months, while using the windshield wipers, they would stop in mid-stride. when i would turn them off and then turn them on again they would work fine for several months and then they would repeat this problem. on oct 11 i had the dealer check this also and they replaced the windshild wiper circuit board as they said that was bad. to me the headlights are a safety item and i think someone should look into this problem. thank you.
