Defect SummaryDope, inc. is recalling 42,540 combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies of various part numbers sold for use as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles. these headlamps fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment. these lamps do not contain the required amber side reflectors.
Consequence SummaryDecreased lighting visibility may result in a vehicle crash.
Corrective SummaryDope, inc. will notify owners and offer a full refund for the noncompliant combination lamps. the safety recall began on july 28, 2009. owners may contact dope, inc. at 1-626-272-1798.

 There are 8 safety recalls on the chevy s10.1997.the companys state my vehicle is not on the list of these recalls.but my vehicles has all of these defects.and ive been very lucky i have not been in an accident yet due to these issues.ive been very lucky.but peoples luck always runs out.i cant afford another vehicle and its breaking me financially by fixing this one.

 On the 1997 chevy s-10 the headlight wiring is not heavy enough to carry enough current to the headlights making them dim and very poor visibility. please recall and fix to make better visibility. *tr

 While driving at night with highbeams turn on, lights started flashing from highbeam to daytime running lights. to temporarily stop the problem was to switch from highbeam to lowbeam. this is a very serious problem that can lead to fatal accidents!!! *nm

 Transmission failed approx. $1000.00 to repair . alternator went out approx. $175.00 to replace. windshield wipers only work 25% of the time.. many times when it is raining. not repaired. cruise control does not work at all. not repaired. backup lights(bulbs and fuses good) not working. not repaired. we can only afford to repair the items that have to be repaired.*ak

 1. door speakers stopped working. still do not work. 2. brake lights stopped working (fuse keeps blowing). unknown cause, possibly living on a rough dirt road. still do not work.
