I was trained by the wy state patrol, as a former traffic counter. they advised at night when ever i running into wildlife on the road, shut off headlights, put car in n, let off the gas and hold vehicle steady while coast through the wildlife. by shutting the headlights off, wildlife [deer, antelope, elk, moose, etc]., are not blinded and can see. with continus daytime headlights, there have been five occassions, at 75-80 miles per hour, i have had to tip my 1998 s10 pickup, onto 2 wheels and weave my way through 100 or more mule tale deer on highway 85, north of lingle, near my ranch. sometimes on black ice. do i have to file a class action law suite to have these damn daytime running lights discontinued? all they are used for are to inform law enforcement whose running illegal drugs or alliens.*ak
