 Today, 24 july 2002 @ 6:30 am pdt at 65 mph, the right front wheel separated from the hub on our 1998 chevrolet s-10 blazer. all five wheel studs sheared. the car was brought to a stop while riding on the brake disc. the car was towed to woolever tire co, 205 anacapa st, santa barbara, ca 93101. the brake rotor and all tire studs are being replaced. i have high resolution digital pictures of the individual studs as welle as the wheel and brake assemblies. chevrolet has been contacted and has started a case (1-18936109) regarding this failure. i've asked the tire dealer to save all the parts that were replaced.*ak

 Consumer had vehicle parked outside of her home and she was hearing a noise. she had her husband listen to it. they took vehicle to dealership, and mechanic took wheels off and noticed that rivit groves wore into the stator. when they had to replace brakes pads and shoes, they had to remachine the stator to remove the groves. *ak the destruction of the front disk brake pads groved the front wheel stator causing the front wheel to pull to the right. *yh

 The consumer has been experiencing problems with lugs: nuts. vehicle kept making a thumping noise. when they took it to the manufacturer, they said that the problem was that the lug: nuts came loose. the consumer has had the lugs: nuts tightened 3 times. the manufacturer has been contacted. *ak

 The cable holding the spare tire to winch separated while driving down the road. the spare tire separated from the vechile and caused several cars traveling behind to take advasive action to miss the tire.
