| I purchased firestone f380 p235/75r15 tires for my vehicle. i see that there is a recall on these tires. my tire was produced before the recalled tires but is having very uneven & unsafe wear. the dot# is dot wbhl 380 2805. i feel that my tires are defective and want the manufacturer to replace them as part of the recall. *tr | |||

| On july 22, 2005, i paid the dealer $615.74 to replace a shorted air pump. i brought it in since the light gauges were turning on. the check engine lighted on and off. one week later, the a/c stopped working. the dealer charged me $105.19 for the diagnosis. on aug. 10, i paid another shop $852.08 to replace the a/c compressor. on aug. 30, my s-10 stalled and hasn't worked since then. a mechanic said the engine has to be replaced (another $3000 +) due to overheating of the radiator. there was no prior indication that the radiator was leaking or heating except when the light gauges were turning on in july. i bought this truck brand new in 2000 and have spent over $7000 in repairs and regular maintenance since then. the battery acid has leaked. brake pads keep wearing out. several air injection malfunctions and pumps have been replaced. i've purchased at least 2 sets of tires. it has less than 72,000 miles. *jb | |||

| Consumer states while driving on the freeway the back driverside tire blew out. the consumer states the vehicle was going 65mph. | |||

| When applying abs brakes vehicle intermittently pulls to right or left, cause unknown. *ak dealer first replaced brake hoses, however problem occurred again, dealer then filed calipers and aligned front end, this helped some but still did not correct problem, consumer removed abs fuse and vehicle did not pull when braking anymore, consumer told dealer about this, dealer replaced abs module and valve, replaced calipers, and problem still exists. inside mirror replaced, it would not adjust. 3 uniroyal tires were out of round and were replaced, size p205/75r158, tires caused vibration and shaking. *slc | |||

| I was driving home from work in my 2001 chevrolet s-10 pickup truck at 4:30 p.m. on tuesday, july 24, 2001. i was in the right-hand lane of i-495 heading from washington, dc, into maryland. all of a sudden, i heard a loud noise, my truck started swerving, and i immediately pulled off to the shoulder. as i got out of my truck, i smelt burning rubber and noticed threads of tire alongside the road. i looked at my tire on the rear end of the drivers side and the tread had separated from the tire, leaving a hole a bit larger than the size of a softball. i changed the tire and drove home, where i called ourisman chevrolet to notify them of the incident.*ak (dot number: p1096bf3 tiresize: p205/75r15) | |||

| The spare tire (donut) on my 2001 chevrolet s-10 pickup, has a 3/8 inch gouge in the sidewall, caused by the way the tire is secured to the undercarriage of the truck. when the cable that secures the tire to the frame is tightened so the tire is secure, it drives the tire into the frame where it wears a groove into the sidewall. i am reluctant to use the tire, as it looks like it would not perform as required. *jb | |||
