| Tl* the contact owns a 1999 chevrolet silverado 1500. the contact stated that the vehicle suddenly accelerated while the brake was depressed. the failure also occurred while in reverse. the failure was experienced several times intermittently, but had become a permanent failure. the brake had to be depressed with force and the gear had to be placed in neutral in order to stop the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic and a diagnostic test was performed. the mechanic was unable to diagnose the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 100,000 and the current mileage was 175,000. | |||
