| I own a 2000 chevy silverado ext. cab. i'm retired and drive the truck about 1000 miles a year or so. in january 2004 to pass the new york state inspection i needed to have the entire rear axle brake assembly from the axle bearing's out replaced. at the time i had between 6000 and 7000 miles on the truck. the cost was almost $800.00 now on may 4 2012 with 23,400 miles on the truck, i needed to have the front brake rotors and pads replaced, cost approximately $400.00! i had both repairs done by a qualified ace mechanic, who also is a friend of the family so he can be trusted! i also want to add there is not a speck of rust on any of the body panels, and the under carriage is rinsed frequently. this truck is well taken care of. *tr | |||
