Brake line failure in a 2003 chevrolet silverado with approximately 24,000 miles. rear brake line corrosion led to leak and failure of rear brakes. had the truck towed to the shop, where heavy corrosion was found on all three other brake lines. all had to be replaced with specially manufactured stainless steel lines because gm doesn't manufacture them. previously had trouble with the abs system. both speed sensors were faulty; had to be disassembled and replaced.

Tl*the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet silverado 1500. while driving 45-55 mph, the contact heard a loud noise and noticed a tire in the road. he pulled over and discovered that the spare tire bracket assembly had sheared off. the dealer stated that the 2005 model brackets were defective. the manufacturer would not reimburse him for the spare tire nor for the replacement of the failed bracket. the current mileage was 100,500 and failure mileage was 100,000. updated 01/03/08 . *lj updated 12/31/07
