| This problem pertains to a 2007 chevy silverado. the blower motorshut off while i was driving. i saw smoke come out from under the dashboard by the passenger side. the connector that was attached to the resistor for the blower motor was melting due to extreme heat. the black wire was glowing bright red and was melting the plastic on the connector. after a phone call to the dealership where the truck was purchased, i found out that chevy already new about the problem and that they had seen it many times. the parts to repair it were in stock, they were purchased and replaced. the fan and a/c are now working. this has happened twice and i have to pay each time. this known problem should require gm to pay for the problem. | |||
