| My father was driving a stock dual cab chevy 2008 silverado, not sure what the stock tires for this truck is. was bought in lucedale, ms at walt massey chevrolet. he was forced off the north side of road traveling west at approx. 60 mph and when reentering pavement or during yawing (still uncertain, but pictures were taken by investigators), the right tire detached from the axle which caused the vehicle to go off other side of road and hit a large oak. the onstar services, which were functioning, did not notify ems or family. the truck was still running when witnesses went to assist him. the vehicle started smoking inside the truck, which made witnesses leave scene and the vehicle blew up and nothing was left to identify him or the vehicle to notify family of his whereabouts. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet silverado 1500. when the contact went to change his license plate, he noticed that the spare tire was a different size than the rest of the tires. he consulted the dealer and was informed that they received other complaints about the issue, but could not do anything to resolve the issue. the manufacturer stated that the spare was a temporary one and offered no further assistance. the spare was a goodyear wrangler hp tire, size 265/70/17. the other tires were bridgestone, size 265/65/18. the current mileage was 2,465 and failure mileage was approximately 2,400. updated 05/06/09. *lj updated 05/07/09.*jb | |||
