 There is a leak in the vehicle engine oil cooling lines which dripped onto the exhaust manifold. this condition could cause an engine compartment fire. mechanic replaced the oil lines.

 The vehicle was warming up when a loud noise occured, smoke came out of the hood, oil was leaking, & the piston rod was lying up under the motor. dealer replaced the motor at the consumer's expense. *ml

 Started burning alot (2 qts per tank of gas) of oil. contacted a chevy mechanic, who said thier was a known problem with the piston rings used in that year engine, as i write this letter my engine is being completely rebuilt, it's costing me approx. 2,800 to have it done. as a life long general motors man, i've never owned anything but a gm prouduct , i'm curious to here your responce to this problem, i was also told those piston rings were not expected to last more than 40,000m. *ak

 The metal mounting bracket of the idle pulley bent and later separated, after being weakened by heat deterioration from a frozen shaft.

 Consumer is experiencing problems with transmission and engine. the head gaskets blew up, causing the antifreeze to explode and run onto the engine. while operating the vehicle, the consumer constantly has to pull over on the side of the road to restart thier vehicle in order to continue driving. consumer contacted the manufacturer, and they couldn't find the problem. *ak

 While driving and pulling a trailer the vehicle stalled, as the consumer pulled over and noticed the vehicle was on fire in the engine compartment, possible engine failure, there was extensive damage to the front half of the vehicle, no injuries to passengers (ohio traffic crash report). nlm

 Vehicle stalled on two occasions. it taken to dealer, and had ignition module replaced. later on, problem reoccurred. dealer was unable to duplicate the problem. feel free to provide any further information . *ak

 Loosened fan belt slapped around the front of the engine compartment, tearing loose a wire which created a short circuit at the top of the left fender where a solenoid and two circuit breakers to charge dual batteries and a trailer connection component were mounted. the electrical heat build-up welded the hood release cable to the fender, preventing the opening of the hood.
