The engine keep crashing down, the indicator say low engine pressure, check engine pressure, then the hole truck will shut down in the middle of producing. this happen three time already. im on the highway driving 80mil and the truck will shut down, cant move the wheel, cant change lines, cant restart the truck or anything. this has almost coast me life three time. what kind of safety shut down is that. i think it is very unsafe and needs to change or fix. i spent over 2,500.00 on my truck thinking the problem is fix, but it keep recurring. the chevy engineers guys just say that the prob cant be fix and my best bet is to get a new truck, or engine. i don't have money for that. *tr
2 mo. after inspection of 2002 silverdo truck(2-05) brakes started to make a grinding noise. excessive build-up of rust on rotors-checked brake shoes and all were in good shape-contacted dealer and was told to have rotors turned down at my expense even after buying extended warrenty. my father just had his brakes repaired 2 mo. ago for the same problem on a 2001 silverdo truck and a 2 people i work with had the same problems
Many of the problems took several times in the shop to fix. the castrophic failures in the engine & transmission have never been fixed. the truck has lunging, dead spots & surges & the transmission clunks (shifts hard, jerky) the auto may or may not accelerate on demand & will later accelerate when you need to apply the brakes.
The consumer stated water seeped into the engine distributor without warning. as a result the engine failed. *jb the consumer wrote about two vehicles, the second vin #1gcec14w62z343895 same make and model. the consumer felt that the problem was with the a/c conditioner hose (metal) was routed over the distributor and condensation was forming on the hose and running onto the distributor causing failure. *sc
Vehicle stalled while driving at 55 mph. *mr the consumer was told that the distributor cap and rotor needed to be replaced. the problem continued, then the consumer was told again that the distributor cap and rotor needed to be replaced again. the dealer found that the a/c line was routed directly above the distributor cap to retain moisture and misfire. *sc *jb
Vehicle was towed to dealership due to frost and moisture build-up by the routing of the air conditioning tubing above the electronic ignition distribution cap that led to complete failure of the engine. *la *jb
Air conditioner (a/c) line runs over the top of the distributor, causing condensation in the distributor. when this occurs, it results in engine misfiring and vehicle stalling. at 22,000 miles transmission went out. *ak *mr
While driving, the vehicle lost total power due to the air conditioner line was routed on top of the distributor, which caused condensation and water dripped inside the distributor. *jb
