 Tl- the contact owns a 2006 chevrolet crew cab with firestone destination le ties p245/70 r17. the contact was traveling 70 mph and the sidewall blew on the rear driver side tire. the tires were warranted for 60000 miles but it blew at 16000. firestone stated they had never seen the a tire blow in the way this tire blew. the dot for the tire was not available at the time of the complaint. the vin was not available at the time og the complaint. the mileage at the time of purchase was 28900 and the failure mileage was 44085. rl

 Tire blows bubble on sidewall, needs to be replaced but goodyear will only warranty a prorated discount towards purchase of same tire. happened a second time on different tire june 2, 2008. tire is at local goodyear dealership awaiting decision on what happens next. *tr

 In nov. of 2005 i purchased a chevrolet silverado, i have had nothing but problems with it. i have had the rear brakes and rotors replaced 3 times and the front once, also the fuel system had a problem, now they tell me that i need all tires replaced because the compound is bad. my truck only has a little over 7,000 miles on it!*jb

 Consumer was sold a 2006 silverado with engine damages. *ts ***nar*** when the consumer contacted the dealership to tell them what he had discovered wit the engine cowling, they had advised him it was squirrel damage. even though the dealer acknowledged the problem, they refused to give the consumer another vehicle. the consumer and his family had become sick. they believed it was from the bacteria coming from the venting system. the front tires were out of round and the rims were bent. *jb

 Dt*: the contact stated upon inspection, it was noticed, the under hood shield was ripped and the intake manifold was scratched. the tread was separating from the passenger front tire in chunks. the dealership determined the under hood damage was caused by a squirrel. although the dealer was alerted no additional inspections have been made. the manufacturer has been alerted. updated 07/05/06. *jb

 Dt*: the contact stated while turning into the driveway, a popping noise was heard and the inside rear passenger tire was flat. the vehicle was driven to an independent repair shop who determined the valve stems on the tires were faulty and needed to be replaced. the tire size was lt2158516, manufactured by general tire & rubber co.
