Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado 1500. the contact stated that the vehicle was exhibiting a loud, unusual noise while driving at various speeds. the contact inspected the vehicle and discovered that the transaxle was leaking oil. the manufacturer advised that the warranty coverage for the transaxle assembly replacement expired and denied any assistance with the repair. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer to have a diagnostic performed. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was 88,943.

Vehicle is parked in garage overnight, get in to start ,shift lever in park, turn on key, vehicle's transmission sends out a clunk, as if to engage and go forward or backward. this type of action started around 8000 miles as a slight, clunk extending into 49000 miles with a hard jarringclunk. of course i took it to dealer in the course of the warranty ,had them note and record defect, however dealer could not get vehicle to perform this operation while in their possession which extended over night and sometimes 2 nights. while the vehicle does not do this on a regular basis,it is notably getting a harder sounding, more pronounced clunk. the shifting noise of the transmission is becoming evident, that is in low speed there is more rough clunking as the transmission goes through it's gears. *tr

I have marked power train and electrical since both are involved. i was driving home from work when my truck message center indicated (reduced engine power) . this is dangerous when my vehicle is impeded from accelerating and slowing down to no more then 20 - 25 miles per hour. since i could of interfered with the traffic and cause an accident or bodily injury to others. a recall should be made since i have noticed a lot of other vehicles have the same scenario.

I am getting a noticeable vibration in the drive train at about 45 mph. it finally subsides at around 55 mph. i have had the oil level checked in the transmission and the rear end oil checked. all is ok in those areas. contacted a local chevrolet dealer and explained the situation on the phone and i was told that is was normal for that make, model and drive train. also had the underside of the vehicle checked to see if there was anything loose that might cause the problem especially the exhaust system and all is ok. never had this problem before. just started. chevrolet won't bother with it.

On 10/18/2010 returning home from vacation, my right front wheel assembly suffered severe internal failure. the dealer in south carolina repaired my vehicle, and covered the expense of the replacement part and labor under the powertrain warranty. they also had to replace the front brake pads and resurfaced the rotors which were damaged to the severe internal failure of the wheel hub assembly. i can understand the malfunction of the part, it happens. but, on 12/17/2010 the left front wheel assembly suffered internal failure, again the dealer covered the expense of the replacement part and labor under the powertrain warranty. i believe their must be a problem for both front wheel hub assemblies to fail, i only have under 30,000 miles on the vehicle. thank you.

Thump after coming to a stop. after about 24,000 miles. i started feeling a light thump from the rear, as if someone bumped me from behind. over the next few weeks it became very noticeable, so i took it to the dealer for investigation. the 1st time, they said the rear-end had the wrong lube in it & they replaced it. this seem to work for the next several weeks. then the thump returned lightly at 1st & gradually worsened to a major thump. i returned it to the dealer & this second repair was that the lubed the rear-end & replaced the yoke on the driveshaft. this repair worked for about a week & i started feeling the light thump again. i took it back in again, left it all day & they apparently drove it around the parking lot & couldn't duplicate the problem. one of the service managers rode with me, around the parking lot & the problem wouldn't show up. it has since worsened again & i will take it back in once the problem gets a little worse. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado. while driving 30-35 mph, the speed does not increase on the vehicle, even when the accelerator pedal is depressed to the floor. this is a safety hazard when driving on the freeway. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but nothing was repaired. the manufacturer acknowledged the failure, but stated that the vehicle was supposed to perform in that manner. the current mileage was 2,800 and failure mileage was 73.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado. the contact heard a noise coming from the automatic transmission and the vehicle was hesitant to shift into gear. the dealer repaired the vehicle under warranty. the failure recurred and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. they stated that there was an issue with the vehicle and notified the manufacturer. the manufacturer advised the dealer not to make any further repairs until the transmission actually failed. the dealer obeyed the manufacturer. the vin was unknown. the failure and current mileages were less than 20,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado c1500. when attempting to accelerate the vehicle at 10 mph, the contact heard a loud clunking and revving noise as if it were downshifting or upshifting. the dealer speculated that the transmission was the cause of the failure. the technician referenced tsb number 10022769, but there was no current remedy. the contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 37,000 and current mileage was 41,000.

Hesitation on acceleration. while merging onto an interstate highway pressed the accelerator to rapidly increase speed but the vehicle hesitated causing me to have to continue down the shoulder and actually stop to avoid a stalled vehicle on the shoulder. i have taken my vehicle to two different dealers to investigate the hesitation on acceleration both have stated that this is normal operation for the 2007 chevrolet silverado. although i didn't have an accident with this particular incident i have noticed this hesitation during normal day to day driving. this is a safety issue. *tr

Chevy silverado 2007, the transmission jerks when stopped at a light. as if someone has bumped you from behind. it takes several seconds (5-20) for it to occur. this is the same problem i read by another member. my 07 silverado does the same thing. this problem started at about 20,000 miles. truck has been to the shop 3 times, 1st they lubed the axle, 2nd they replaced the driveshaft yoke, 3rd time 1 week later they couldn't duplicate the problem . so now the problem still exist. i will be taking it back to see what`s next. *tr
