 Starting to get onto a highway and pulled into a gas station the speedometer got stuck at 40mph and would not go to zero when stopped but when started moving again it acted like 40 mph was the starting point and would not return to zero

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado lt. the contact stated that when driving various speeds and taking his foot off of the accelerator, he noticed the vehicle rpms would increase up to 1800. the failure occurred on an intermittent basis. the vehicle was inspected by three dealers who were unable to diagnose the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and offered little assistance. the failure mileage was approximately 46,000.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado. the contact was traveling 30 mph on a two lane road and pressed down on the accelerator to pass a vehicle, when the gas pedal was released the vehicle continued to accelerate. the vehicle got up to 80 mph before the vehicle was stopped. the accelerator seemed stuck and the first time the contact turn the ignition off the vehicle continued to accelerate. the contact turned the vehicle on and then off again before the vehicle began to cost to a stop. the contact took the vehicle into the dealer and was told there was no problems found with the vehicle. when the contact got the vehicle home, the abs light came on. the failure mileage and current mileages was 8900.rl
