2006 chevrolet 2500 pick-up w/8.1 motor. first there was faulty hoses causing low oil warning to come on. now engine is low on oil with 1800 miles since last oil change. had to put in 1 1/4 quart of oil. after engine break in. i switched to mobile 1 5w30 synethic. a recommended oil to use by chevrolet. dealers service dept. says its suppose to use a quart to 2000miles. i don't believe that with the modern technology of engines. maybe years ago but not now. if that's the case then chevrolet should have said this engine uses oil. i guarantee you not many would have been sold. *tr
