2007 chevrolet 2500 silverado. consumer writes regarding heated washer system recall *tgw the consumer stated the heated washer system should be fixed and not dismantled. the consumer stated while driving, the computer system shut the engine down due to fuel filter problems. on another occasion,, the alert sign started blinking. the consumer was towing a 5th wheel and the trailer brake controller shut off, leaving no brakes on the trailer. the following week, the trailer was inspected and minor brake adjustments were made. the mechanic could not explain why the vehicle would shut down because if a fuel filter. *jb

Engine power reduced to 35 mph without warning. pulling a trailer merging into heavy traffic on to i75. while merging, the vehicle suddenly dropped to 35 mph nearly causing an accident. the reduction is speed occured without warning. a light on the dash came on that said engine power reduced. this reduction in power was the result of the exaust filter being full or clogged. drove to next exit at reduced spped on shoulder and exited the highway. engine is a duramax diesel 6.6l
