| Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd diesel. the contact stated while driving 45 mph the vehicle looses power. if you are trying to change lanes and you depress the accelerator pedal the vehicle doesn't move or response to the pedal being pressed hard. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated all eight injectors and the injector pump needed to be replaced. this would be a cost of $7,100. the manufacturer was contacted who stated it does not fall under the recall or warranty and offered no other assistance. the failure mileage was 143,000....mw | |||

| My vehice would stall out on me at any time for about 2 months it didn't matter what speed i was doing or where i was it would stall out so i would have to coast to the side of the road with no power steering and wait to crank the vehicle back up. then december 23 2008 i was on my way home and it completely stopped i couldn't get it to crank battery was completely dead and it was at night on a highway. i took it to every dealer ship and every mechanic and noone could tell me what was wrong with it. finally i looked online at recalls and found that there is a recall for the exact make and model of my vehicle but when i called gmc they told me that there was no recall for my vehicle so i went and paid out of my own pocket to fix this problem. this is a major problem that they have found but aren't doing anything about it for me i mean if they have the recall already for the same vehicle then why isn't my vehicle included? | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd. the contact stated that after having a routine maintenance performed on his vehicle they advised him that the brake and fuel line were completely corroded. the mechanic advised him that all of the lines underneath the vehicle needed to be replaced due to the severe corrosion. he was unable to drive the vehicle since it was inspected for fear of the parts on the vehicle becoming detached. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was approximately 87,700. | |||
