Both front and rear center-seat lap restraint belt latch covers (gm part # 14863), from the male end of the belt fell off. both have received minimal use, however the tabs that hold the covers to the belt latch are broken off. this issue presents an obvious cosmetic defect and more importantly i am unsure if the affected belts are safe to use either by adults or my soon to be born daughter in a child seat. weaver auto center in grass valley, ca informed us that gm would not furnish replacement parts for seat belts due to liability/safety reasons. furthermore, to remedy the resulting cosmetic or safety condition i would have to purchase new seat belts. *nm
