| I was driving down the road at highway speed (65mph) and the front right steel brake line burst and i lost most of my brake fluid. upon looking under the truck for the cause of the problem, i noticed that all of the brake lines and two of the fuel lines were badly corroded. i tow trailers often and i'm thankful i wasn't towing our 11,000lb 5th wheen camper when this happened or there would have been a horrific crash! i have done quite a bit of research and noticed that there are quite a few compliants about the same problem for this model year pickup. is there a recall and how do i go about getting this fixed? i am out of work on medical leave and cannot afford to take the truck to the shop and wait for gm to think about re-embursing me. | |||

| The truck suddenly stopped while backing up in my driveway. i stopped so suddenly that i thought i hit something. i got out of the truck and didn't see anything around the wheels or truck. i got back in the truck, stepped on the brake pedal and it went all the way to the floor without any resistance. i heard a squeezing sound and saw fluid squirting from beneath the driver's side door. the steel brake line on top of the truck frame was rusted and developed a hole from which the brake fluid squirted. there is second steel brake line on top of the the failed line, which is also rusted. the brakes have completely failed. my last vehicle had over 135,000 miles and the brake lines were in great condition. | |||

| Brake lines corrode easily which leads to leaking and loss of brakes under normal driving situations. this is the second time i've had to replace a section of brake line. | |||

| Could not remove spare tire from vehicle. the cable lowered the tire until the secondary catch restricted the lowering any further. followed owners manual to resolve issue, did not work. cranked spare tire back to mounted position. took vehicle to dealer, they had to cut the cable and unbolted the mechinsum from the vehicle. the secondary catch was accessed and released from the side. the unit is no longer functional and a new unit is well over $100. i now have access to the spare but not the factory mounting position. glad i don't get a flat tire on the highway. | |||

| Vehicle remains running but shows power reduction. check engine light comes on and stays on. you have to pull over, shut it off, press the arrow button on the steering wheel for a few second and restart. this happened on i35 at 70mph 4 times in 40 miles yesterday. | |||

| My 2003 chevrolet 2500hd truck has had the power steering pump go out three times. when it goes out the steering and brakes fail and make it very hazardous to continue requiring me to stop and have some one pick up my truck and haul it home. i've also had my air conditioning go out twice and is nearing failure again. the front hub assembly has also gone out twice on this truck. once the repair was made under warranty. *tr | |||
