| Brake line failure on 2000 chevy silverado 1500. has happened twice due to lines rusting out, and now mechanic says fuel lines are rusting out. i live in ky with little salt and have heard numerous other complaints about the same issue. driving along and bam, no brakes due to corrosion. last time it happened to my wife and pregnant daughter in law. someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed if it hasn't already happened. gm has our tax dollars and should use some of it to recall and fix this deadly problem. this is costing between $400.00 to $600.00 to repair. local mechanic has said it is a constant problem with these vehicles in this year range, along with tahoes. *tr | |||
