We have taken our 2000 suburban in 9 times to get the water leak problem fixed at asheville chevrolet. the moisture causes headaches in my 9 yr old son. we don't know what all might be growing in the carpet. we bought new carpet the last time and were told the problem was solved. 2 weeks later (the first rain) and we have a wet carpet again and our son has another headache.

Electrical- power windows inoperable for the first 8 months that we owned this vehicle, involved 5 trips to the service department before problem was fixed. body design? problem - tires did not clear vehicle body without rubbing, causing irreversible damage to the tires. to the extent that the dealer keeps recommending us to buy 4 new tires when ever they service our vehicle. brakes - possible that there is a kink in the brake booster vacuum supply hose. i need to suggest to dealer that they consider this for a problem that were having with a noise and vibration coming from the front end when you press and release the brake pedal. dealer recommends that we buy 4 new tires, the problem with that diagnoses is that we also hear the noise when the car is not moving! i wonder if they read their tsb's*ak (tiresize: p265/70r16)( dot number: tire size: p265/70r16 )

In july 2006 my rear passenger window started to not work all the time. the window would stick part way up, or down. the door hinges also started to squeak really bad. on one day while traveling with 4 young children in the back a child had opened the window about three inches, it then stuck. when we parked he tried to open the back door, the door stuck at about six inches open. an adult passenger pulled the door open. the window exploded in all directions spraying glass on all the children and the adult. the child had dozens of small cuts on his legs and arms. i had the window repaired , but the motor worked just fine at the body shop. on september 10th the same thing happened again. this time it was my 12 year old son who opened the sticky door. (the window was up this time) the window exploded again. he was cut all over his arms and the flying glass took paint off the door. i have the car at the body shop again and they will try and find the problem. the nearest chevrolet dealer is 45 miles away, when i contacted them they were unaware of any problems with windows or door hinges on the suburban. since the car has not been in a wreck and has had medium usage this problem is very scary. these cars are thought of as reliable and safe family cars, built chevy tough. doors and windows should out last everything on the car!!!. please don't let any more children get hurt!!! *nm

My wife was driving our 2000 suburban on the interstate when she heard a loud sound which sounded like something hit the vehicle. upon investigation, we saw that the top of the rear window had an indenting like something had hit it and damaged the rear glass. so we filed a complaint with state farm and took it to a body shop. the body shop looked at it and said that the damage was caused by the right hinge breaking which holds the rear glass to the body. the hinge just broke on its own. after further investigation, i have found other people who have had a similar experience. it will cost about $1000 to repair this as there is no formal recall at this point in time. *tr

2000 chevrolet suburban, sliding sunroof (option cf5 i think) - annoying gurgling noise comes from this area during rain and while driving approximately 30 mph or faster. dealer has worked on problem for past 3 years periodically - always unable to duplicate until recently. they rerouted water drain tube in roof area to eliminate problem with no improvement. gm needs to find a solution. *la

Rear back glass is detaching itself from the molding that holds the window to the hinges of the vehicle. i had the local chevrolet dealer look at the window and they told me that it was normal wear and tear. i know that this is not normal for a vehicle of this age,(only 4 years old when problem found). nothing has been done to fix this but i think that there should be a recall by gmc since i've talked with body shops in this area and this is not the first time they have seen this type of problem. for safety if this window were to separate while you are driving it may possibly cause a mishap on the road. *jb
