| Overly sensitive seat belt mechanism. slightest movement while driving will cause seat belt to lock, restricting the person driving from necessary movement such as, looking behind vehicle before reversing or lane changing, taking the ticket from machine in parking structures, ect. seat belt has been changed once but continues to be a problem. problem has been with auto since purchased. *nm | |||

| Contact states; front passenger seat belt will tighten and lock while engine is on and off. just to unlock seat belt at latch and allow it to roll all the way in before it can be applied. it tightens as if brakes were slammed on. however it tightens anyway without that particular situation. has taken to dealer twice without any conclusions or repairs. *ak | |||

| While driving at 45 mph vehicle was forced off of the road into oncoming traffic. consumer swerved to avoid a head on collision with another vehicle. this action caused the vehicle to crash through a fence, run into a ditch, and collide head on with an oak tree. seat belts were worn, but at the time of the impact, the latch came apart. vehicle was equipped with front and side air air bags. upon impact, they did not deploy. consumer's knee was broken, and he suffered a concussion. police and medical help did arrive on the scene. manufacturer and the dealer have been notified of the incident. *ak | |||
