Nhtsa campaign#95v124000 indicated a wiring defect on the high mounted stop light for 1995 checrolet tahoe. mine fails.i took the truck to jerry hamm chev. in jacksonville on 5/4/00 to have the anti-lock brakes fixed for the second time, and asked them to also repair the high-light. they refused, stated the recall was not in their database. i provided them with a printed copy of your campaign, and they still refused. they also made me pay for the abs modulator repair on 02/22/99 even though it was common knowledge that tahoes were having anti-lock brake failures. i don't think the abs modulator (heart of the abs) system should have failed at 47,000 miles. the only thing they did was split the cost of the part after i complained and indicated i was calling chevrolet |
