| This report regards a chevrolet tahoe 4 door truck which i purchased new. during the past 16 months both interior door handles ( the left and right front doors) have snapped off rendering that door inoperable when attempting to exit the vehicle. it appears that this is a safety defect since the possiblity exists that these door handles could fail at any time in an emergency. i have been required to replace these door handles at my expense and i was informed by the chevrolet dealer ( hustedt chevrolet of floral park, n.y.) that the door handle failure is a common problem with these vehicles. *ak | |||

| My battery failure was same as power failure that newspaper said nhtsa was investigating. i still have battery which will show why vehicle loses power. i also know of one more exact same failure with a suburban which probably has'nt been reported. the cargo door hinges are another failure that gmc refuses to address and blames it on poor maintinence by the owner. *ak | |||
