| Tl*the contact owns a 1999 chevrolet tahoe. while driving approximately 40 mph on normal road conditions, the front passenger side heated seat control module was activated while an occupant was sitting in the seat. there was unexpected and excessive heat penetrating from the seat, which caused the occupant to sustain second degree burns on his right thigh. the heated seat module harness connector was disconnected due to the malfunction. the contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. the vehicle will be taken to the authorized dealer for diagnostic testing. the vin was unknown. the failure and current mileages were 168,000. | |||

| The consumer experienced a problem with the driver's seat. the seat was off the bracket. the bolt that holds the seat to the frame broke. owner contacted the dealer, who estimated a price of $501.15 for repairs. *ak the while driving the driver leaned back on the seat and it became detached from the frame on the upper left hand corner. the seat now feels totally unsafe, rocking back and forth every time a turn is made, or when accelerating and braking. consumer feel mounting brackets for seats should last more than a lifetime and should be fully covered as a defect when one breaks. *bf *nm the consumer wanted the known the status of his complaint. *jb | |||

| Dt: the contact states h has a 1999 chevrolet tahoe. one of the 4 mounting bolts on the bottom of the driver's seat sheared off, making the seat unstable under normal usage. the contact was concern that if he was involved in an accident and the seat moved around he could lose control of the vehicle. the gm dealer told him he was on his own. the consumer noticed this a couple of months ago.*ak | |||

| Our seat warmer burned thru our front drivers seat. there is a large hole in our seat. i am not sure of the exact day that this happened...we have had a lot of things going on this summer with my husband having open heart surgery and i then having surgery so i am just getting this to you now. i am not sure if there is anything that can be done about this or not but i do not want anyone to get hurt. | |||
