| The statistical data regarding problem experience in the table above are net counts for unique vehicles.review of information in this pe discloses that while accounting for approximately two-thirds of the total population, my 2007 subject vehicles are cited in more than 90 percent of the consumer complaints, injury reports, and warranty claims, respectively.in addition, improvements in the door handle manufacturing process during the my 2007 production resulted in a decline in the occurrence of peeling/flaking of the thin chrome plating.other environmental factors were also identified that may have influenced the occurrence of the condition which poses the alleged safety risk.additional analysis is required to identify the specific vehicles most susceptible to peeling or separation of the chrome plating from the handle, and to assess the significance of its occurrence.this pe has been upgraded to an engineering analysis to facilitate further study. | ||||||

| Noticed a crack on the dash board right above the gauge cluster. have a family member with the same vehicle and saw that their vehicles dash was full of cracks and decided to research the issue. i found blogs and videos through out the internet of people all around with the same problem. my main concern is that i have also found that the next crack in the dash i will see will be on the corner of the dash at the passenger air bag. i'm afraid this could affect the proper deployment of the air bag. *tr | |||

| Car has not been in an accident. just concerns like so many other gm customers. there is a crack that is at the airbag, on the passenger side, that keeps getting bigger. concerned that airbag might deploy, or not work at all. have contacted gm corporate several times telling them about the same issue that other customers are having in this same area. when contacting gm they tell me that they have not heard of this issue, but there are so many customers that have complain online. i was told to take my vehicle to the dealership for further inspection and was told that this could have happen by using armorall, in that case the whole console would be cracked and not in certain places where all other customers are seeing the same exact cracks. actually the entire console is affected with several cracks. if gm was not aware, how come some of their customers consoles have been changed out by the dealership? more than once. they tell me because of the model and the mileage of my vehicle it would not qualify. this is a material issue plus a safety issue if it affects the stability of an airbag. there are even videos on u tube that shows a visual picture. *tr | |||

| This is the second time that the dashboard cracked. i boought the tahoe in 04/13/2010 and had 25,967 miles in june 7, 2011 after paying $350.00 for labor the dealer replaced the dashboard and now a year and four months it is cracked again and i spoke with a services person at the dealer and they told me it is been a year and there is not coverage for. i'm very upset i just can't believe that it only lasted a year so if i spent my money fixing this again how long will it take till it brakes again. *tr | |||

| The dash has major cracking around the airbag and on top of the dash in the area of the steering wheel. the first incident occurred in april 2010, had the dash replaced under warranty approximately sept/oct 2010. the second incident occurred in august 2012. same cracks in dash around airbag. i can't help but wonder if these cracks compromise the airbag in any way. or if the vehicle is involved in a collision will the dash pieces become airborne projectiles. have spoken with gm and while they acknowledge that they have had issues with the dash cracking, they do not acknowledge a defect in the dash. a simple internet search provides several instances of these same cracks occurring in many 2007 chevrolet tahoes, avalanches, and 2007 gmc yukons. yes, i could pay to have a new dash installed but it will be the same defective part that will crack again causing the same safety concerns. *tr | |||

| 2007 chevrolet tahoe. consumer states several issues with vehicle and request information on recalls, service bulletins, warranties or lemon law *tgw the consumer stated the cruise control down shifted to 2nd while driving at highway speeds and on hills, the starter would hang, there was a noise coming from the ac compressor. the transmission was replaced. however, it continued to hesitate after the vehicle was started, as well as a vibration. there was a clicking noise coming from the differential, the idle needle would rise, while at a stop, the battery drained, the engine stalled, the dash was cracked, there was a problem with the suspension, the tire pressure monitoring system was repaired three times, the passenger side mirror was inoperable, the weather strip had come off the vehicle and there was a clicking noise coming from the u-joint. *jb | |||

| My wife and i have been victims of the faulty chrome plating peeling from the interior door release handles,causing a razor type cut to tips of our fingers therefore causing loss of blood. the interior door release handles have been replaced 3 times within the last 10 months resulting in failure soon after. the last incident happened 6/28/2008 when i exited the vehicle which cut my finger. there is no visual warning when the chrome plating seam fails, but to receive the razor 'like' cut to the finger which is very painful. our level of concern for the safety of our children and family members that have blood ailments such has diabetes type ii,enema, is of great concern. i have been subjected to having to wrap tape on the existing handles that have already been replaced to prevent what could cause permanent bodily injury which i feel is totally unacceptable. if further injuries result in the use of this vehicle, i am requesting the assistance of your organization for a permanent resolution to this issue. your concern will be greatly appreciated from my family and myself. *tr | |||

| I was at a stop light, and the problem happened unexpectedly when i pressed on the gas when the light turned green. my car moved forward just slightly, jerked hard to a complete stop, and it wouldn't drive anymore. i was able to get pushed to the side in neutral, but needed a tow to the dealer. the only working gears were r, 3, 2, and 1. bringing it into the dealer, they confirmed there was a problem with the transmission. i had done some research when this happened and noticed that a lot of people had the same problem, all in the same type of scenario where they were at a complete stop. second issue, not nearly as major is the stabilitrak. the light goes on and off constantly, pretty much from the first year i've had the car. and lastly, the interior chrome door handles have all peeled off and cut me and my passengers several times. the exterior door handles have come loose, the fuel pocket is completely broken, and after a heavy rain, water gets trapped inside the shell of the back door and sloshes around while i'm driving. i have to remove the bottom lining of the door for the trapped water to be released. | |||
