| The molded plastic on the dashboard on the drivers side has an 8 crack that begins where the dash meets the window area and extends up towards the driver and extends up the left side of the rounded portion of the dash that houses the speedometer and other instrumentation. the truck is garaged and i use a window sun screen when parked outside. upon much research there seems to be a known issue with 2007 tahoe specifically, dealer confirmed, with dashboard cracking in the exact location i identified above as well as on the righ side by the airbag. i have a concern that the plastic is defective in this year and model and although it is initially thought of as cosmetic (still no excuse), most importantly i fear that the compromised dash will compromise the integrity of the air bag deployment should it be needed. this needs to be reported to chevy which i have done and a recall must be demanded to mitigate any air bad deployment concerns as well as to resolve the terrible cosmetic defect. thank you. | |||

| Noticed a crack on the dash board right above the gauge cluster. have a family member with the same vehicle and saw that their vehicles dash was full of cracks and decided to research the issue. i found blogs and videos through out the internet of people all around with the same problem. my main concern is that i have also found that the next crack in the dash i will see will be on the corner of the dash at the passenger air bag. i'm afraid this could affect the proper deployment of the air bag. | |||

| Dashboard has cracked on the passenger side corner above the airbag. dash has not been subjected to stress / pressure. it appears to be a manufacturer defect as this has happened to many individuals online. i fear that this crack will expand and can potentially affect the passenger airbag itself. as this vehicle is a '07 model, it should not crack after less than 5 years normal wear and tear. | |||

| I notice a crack on my dash board in the seam of the air bag front left side- and then inspected the dash board to find another crack over the steering hump of the dash board heading down toward the vent of the dash board. as i researched this issue i have found several owners with the same issue some under warranty and others not. the issue is the dash board is cheaply made and may cause severe damage if in an accident and since it is located near the air bag it could cause injury | |||

| Both of my children have been cut several times on numerous occations by the peeling of the chrome on the door handles in the back seats. the dash is cracking which i have seen this complaint on many many 2007 gm suv's. would like to see something done about these problems since it happens to be a big complaint by many owners. | |||

| The dash has major cracking around the airbag and on top of the dash in the area of the steering wheel. the first incident occured in april 2010, had the dash replaced under warranty approximately sept/oct 2010. the second incident occurred in august 2012. same cracks in dash around airbag. i can't help but wonder if these cracks compromise the airbag in any way. or if the vehicle is involved in a collision will the dash pieces become airborne projectiles. have spoken with gm and while they acknowledge that they have had issues with the dash cracking, they do not acknowledge a defect in the dash. a simple internet search provides several instances of these same cracks occuring in many 2007 chevrolet tahoes, avalanches, and 2007 gmc yukons. yes, i could pay to have a new dash installed but it will be the same defective part that will crack again causing the same safety concerns. | |||

| The driver's side window switch fried on our 2007 chevy tahoe lt. it literally burned a hole in the side of the switch where the two circuit boards come together. it is a miracle that the entire car did not go up in flames. i've done a little research online and apparently this is not an isolated incident. the 2006-2007 chevy trialblazers and toyota rav4's have had the same issues. i believe there needs to be a recall of some sort in order to make sure this does not happen to anyone else and potentially catch the entire vehicle on fire. | |||

| Upon inspection of the dashboard it has cracked both above the steering wheel on the left side and at the corner of the airbag on the passager side. i am concerned that if this cracks any worse the airbag may deploy and injure a passager or it may cause the steering column to mailfunction if the dashboard falls. chevy should be recalling this so that no one is injured. | |||

| The door handles are coming completely appart on the vehicle. i cannot enter the vehicle on the right side at all and now the driver side handle is coming apart more all the time. eventually i will not be able to get into the vehicle to drive it whatsover and do not have extra money to repair this gm issue. this needs to be taken care at no charge by chevrolet. | |||

| I was on r&r leave from the middle east from 26 oct 2011 thru 09 nov. on the 2nd of november i attempted to open my driver side door and the pealing chrome on the door handle slit through my middle finger. the pealing is razor sharp and left a one inch cut in the center of my finger. i had to place tape over the door handle to prevent being cut again. who can i cantact about this hazard. i am active duty army and i am out of the country quite a bit so if there is a recall on this i need to know. i am the first and only owner of my tahoe | |||

| Peeling interior paint - two of the four doorhandles paint is peeling causing sharp and jagged edges resulting in cut fingers. brakes - all brakes and rotors bad at 39,000 miles and had to be replaced. way too early! now the brakes squeel all the time, are soft and had to be flushed 2 times within 6 months of each other. windows - continuing issues with the windows screetching when going up and down. attempted to fix three times and just keeps repeating. is starting to scuff/scratch the glass and leave oil streaks. was told this is normal. rear liftgate (manual) - struts freeze every winter so that the tailgate does not go up all the way. have hit head on this numerous times. been replaced 3 times and counting. | |||

| I have a 2007 chevy tahoe. since i bought the car these are some of the issues i have had with the car- all within the first year - some issues are ongoing. three of the four door handles are frayed and cause cuts. the center console was literally coming apart at the seams. i can hear the sound of wind very loudly with the windows up. shortly after i bought the car - i returned to the service dept. at the dealer (moreno valley chevrolet) advising them that the door locks are not properly operating with the key fob and that the sound of wind was/is very loud and the tires are making noise. well , they replaced, reset, and whatever else to the door locks - and the electronic fob still did not (and does not) work. even after three (or four) attempts to reslove this - i have to use the key, the fob does not work. the dvd player plays at will. at one of those visits - where i advised of excessive noise, the dealer replaced three of my tires and my dvd player - without my request. the service tech says - oh, they hooked you up. i asked and asked why they replaced these things and no one, including the service manager, had an answer. and still - the tires wear unevenly, are loud, and the ride is not smooth and the dvd player plays when it wants to. i took my car to jiffy lube for an oil change and the guy there said, one day, your tires are going to fall off, this (what the name was-i can't recall) is broken...it's just a matter of time before it falls apart. i took it to the dealer (moreno valley chevy) and they said cannot duplicate. never, ever another chevy. | |||

| This morning after a heavy rain last nnight, while taking the kids to school, i heard a water sloshing sound coming from the rear passenger side door. got home and investigated the door- it was literally filled inside with water. upon further investigation, i found that all doors had water in them! scary! i had to leave all 4 doors open for approx 20 min for water to stop draining out! my saftey concern here is if these doors are filled (and i'm not exaggerating when i say filled) with water, there must be a risk of electrical shock from the different electrical components inside the doors for windows and/or the power locks. | |||

| 2007 tahoe ltz. my tahoe caught on fire as i was driving down the freeway on 9/10/10. i saw smoke in the back of my suv as i was driving. i pulled over and looked in the back of the suv. flames were coming from the drivers side back end of the auto. it took the firemen 20 minutes to put the fire out. my insurance company is saying it must be mechanical, which they start to tell me that type of fire is not covered and they are not covering damages, which the suv is totaled. but the fire was only in the rear of the suv. i'm sure this will be a battle! other things are my windshield also comes on random times with the water spraying whenever it wants. door handles in the middle of the handle was sharp and had to be replaced. lettering on buttons doesn't seem to last. lot's of seat belt problems. | |||

| I have a 2007 chevy tahoe ltz with 60k miles on it now. my girlfriend normally rides with me and has cut her hand on several occasions now on my interior door handle that is peeling. it started with the front passenger side door handle, and now all 4 door handles are peeling on the car and the metal that is still on poses a serious cut risk. i went to the dealer and so far they told me they can replace the parts but at a cost and labor to me, not covering any portion. after researching this it seems to be a major problem with my type of car model and i feel like gm should deal with this crappy part and replace for free. | |||

| Gas mileage on my 2007 chevy tahoe is much worse than the advertised 21mpg. i am lucky if i get 13mpg on regular gasoline. don't get me started on the e85 scam - less mpg and only $0.30 cheaper than regular gasoline? the dealer scammed me into believing it was an apples to apples comparison of e85 and gas. | |||

| I leased a 2007 tahoe in june 2006. after about 10k or 15k i began to hear alot of noise when turning left or right. i asked the tahoe dealership to check it out and they stated it was not a problem. months later the problem continued to get worse an louder. same dealership states it not a problem. the clicking, squealing noise have gotten worse. third time same dealership states there's nothing wrong. may 21, 2008, i go to a different dealership for a service and because all my friends say there has to be something wrong. i was told that it is a known problems with gm model, i.e., tahoe yukons suburbuns. the intermediate shaft that is installed wears out, and has to be replaced, in models dating back to 98 at least. he states i would have to pay for repair. i researched an found that hundreds of complaints and forums about the very problem but there is no recall about. they have been using the same shaft for years and now have improved part that consumers have to pay for out of their pockets. how can they knowlingly place bad parts in vehicles and not be responsible for repairing. i was told that unless they had a new for the intermediate shaft it would have to be replaced every 10k miles. *tr | |||
