The statistical data regarding problem experience in the table above are net counts for unique vehicles.review of information in this pe discloses that while accounting for approximately two-thirds of the total population, my 2007 subject vehicles are cited in more than 90 percent of the consumer complaints, injury reports, and warranty claims, respectively.in addition, improvements in the door handle manufacturing process during the my 2007 production resulted in a decline in the occurrence of peeling/flaking of the thin chrome plating.other environmental factors were also identified that may have influenced the occurrence of the condition which poses the alleged safety risk.additional analysis is required to identify the specific vehicles most susceptible to peeling or separation of the chrome plating from the handle, and to assess the significance of its occurrence.this pe has been upgraded to an engineering analysis to facilitate further study.

The dashboard is cracked on the drivers side above the instrument panel about 6-8 inches long. it is also has 3 other cracks on the passenger side airbag on the dashboard, the cracks are in the top two corners. these cracks just started appearing and around the date mentioned above is when we noticed the cracks. i know this is an ongoing issue with many of these vehicles and it is a safety concern when it is on the airbag. if there is a wreck, who is to say pieces wont be flung up into my family and hurt or possible kill them. *tr

5/31/2011 driver door lock actuator failed, door would and alarm would not set. fixed under warranty. rear left and front right failed within a year. both were replaced at no charge out of warranty at 45000 miles, approx. october 23 2012, rear right lock actuator failed. not sure how long it was not working, but the vehicle was parked and driven with the door unlocked, unknown to me. i find this to be a very unsafe condition, and with the number of complaints on this issue i'm surprised no injuries have been reported. thefts, kids opening moving vehicle door, carjacking are all things that come to mind. why is there no recall? clearly a safety issue, and not isolated to just a few vehicles. *tr

Tl-the contact owns a 2008 chevrolet tahoe. while the vehicle was parked, the contact observed that the front passenger and driver side exterior door handles were in a stuck position. the vehicle occupants were unable to enter or exit the vehicle without activating the automatic windows to open which allowed access to release the exterior door handle. in addition, the both rear exterior door handles exhibited the same failure. when the failure would occur the door would not open with the automatic door lock or key entry. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the technician stated the failure was contributed to the defective door lock actuator. the vehicle was repaired. the failure mileage was 47,000. js
