| The passenger door handle broke from the screw housing and not the handle itself. chevy's response: pull too hard on door handle, $ 200 repair cost to replace handle. the dashboard in front of the steering wheel started cracking and running towards the steering wheel. chevy's response: some time the heat will do that. $ 950 repair cost for new dashboard. my tahoe is in top shape, washed twice a week inside and out and is garaged? i don't know why the simple things are so cheap? | |||

| Support bracket weld to transmission dipstick tube broke. dipstick tube loose and only held in place at transmission. caught at a gm lube location in charleston, wv during routine lube and oil change. they stated they have seen at least 6 of these breaks in late model gm suvs. in worst case tube could pop out of transmission and leaking transmission oil could hit exhaust and cause a fire. my fix is a small hose clamp around the bracket and tube to hold it in place. | |||
