Loud noise in front end of vehicle when cold. this makes a very loud grinding, squeaking noise in the front end of the vehicle when the outside temperature is at or below 22 degrees fahrenheit. the noise goes away after about 5 to 10 minutes of driving. the dealer says there is no fix for this! i have two 2003 trackers..and they both make this loud, irritating noise when its cold. its so loud sometimes, you can hear it a block away. there is no excuse for a manufacturer to ignore a problem like this..even though it may not be safety related, it should still be fixed for free. the dealer says it is a axle seal grinding. *jb
