I was driving home from work and started hearing the trucks undercarriage start to rattle and grind on the bumps of the road. i had a sudden loss of power on engine and it wouldnt respond to my pressing on the gas. i believed that i had gas in the truck because the gauge read half full and apparently i was out of gas. so i proceeded to pull into a gas station and as soon as we filled up, the truck would not start! i saw that my check engine light was on and had to ask for a jumpstart to get it started again. at another time and date again the truck went dead, i asked for a jumpstart and the vehicle would not respond. i now had to buy a new battery because the car damaged the original battery and now with the new battery installed my car starts but will not stay on without me pressing on the gas while in park gear. i believe something may be defective with the electrical gauges, fuel delivery system, and suspension.

I have a 2002 chevy trailblazer 4wd. the clutch fan is bad. from what the auto parts service center advised me, all clutch fans on the 2002 trailblazers should be recalled. the vehicle runs high rpm's when first starting. this is a safety hazards that the gov. should address with chevy. don't wait until someone loses a life, then act on this complaint. you would think after the firestone tire incident you people would work on the side of the consumer, after all, we do pay for your agency to operate. why is it the consumer always has to pay for big business when they are the ones who are a fault. when building any product, if it fails. then the gov. should enforce a recall. whether it be one or 20 complaints. the consumer has the right to be protected when purchasing any product. when a complaint is made. the you the gov. agency should act and make a recall. before someone gets hurt. it that simple. *tr

2002 trailblazer ls begins to shake at speeds over 60 mph. the tires have been changed and has not fixed the problem. this problem is not uncommon in this model. it is a possible loss of control hazard. along with this there is a squeaking noise when proceeding over rough terrain (ex. speed bumps, etc.) may be related. *jb

Dont know where to start. squeaking noise when going over bumps (sounds like it is coming from suspension). metal grinding noise in brakes, ticking noise from engine, seat belt and airbag lights have come on for no reason, rear latch has come open while driving, tail lights and brake lights burning out freqently, transmission was slipping on take off, no cause found in the several times it has been taken in for this. now my transmission is out. just happened yesturday. don't feel like i can blame the dealership after reading all the complaints. i think the fault lies on the shoulders of gm. *ak

The brake lights have burned out in the last 3 mos. 3 different times. the passenger side brake light seems to go out every month. i was complaining about the passenger seat belt locking up but thought i was just doing it wrong. after reading other complaints i noticed that it is a common occurrence. i have had the trail blazer in the shop for the noise under the front when you hit a bump. they can't seem to find the cause of the noise. the back gate would pop open just driving down the road. dealer adjusted the latching hook. has not done it since. now after doing some research i have found that there are 8 recalls on this vehicle and i have just received 2 notices. this is a bit unnerving. *jb

I have a 2002 chevy. trail blazer ltz model # 1gnet16s326103920 this vehicle sits so much lower in the front than the back. the rear view mirror is so low it obscures the line of sight to the right front area while driving. my wife and i have had three (3) near misses with cars in intersections and almost ran over a child on a bicycle coming from the right. this is a design destined to create an accident! *jb

I just had an alignment done on our 2002 trailblazer and was told that the right front tie rod is going to need to be replaced. the mechanic showed me how much play was in the right front tire and wheel. it was atleast one half inch. there are no grease fittings on the 2002 chevy trailblazer because they are sealed. the mechanic said that for this to happen it would of not had enough grease put in at the factory. he also said that this is a major safety issue because the wheel can break at the tie rod and the front wheel will not be controllable.*ak

Tl*the contact owns a 2002 chevrolet trailblazer. if the contact does not unhook the battery post each night, the vehicle will not start in the mornings. she purchased a new battery, but the failure persists. the front passenger side of the vehicle near the tire makes a roaring sound intermittently. neither weather nor speed were factors. the contact believes that the gas tank is leaking fuel because it is burning more fuel. the vehicle was not taken to a chevrolet dealer, but was taken to the dealer from where the vehicle was purchased. the mechanic stated that the vehicle was experiencing electrical failure and should be taken to the dealer. the contact was informed that the following nhtsa campaign id numbers did not apply to her vin: 01v126000 (suspension:front:control arm:lower arm), 03v096000 (electrical system:wiring:interior/under dash), and 02v121000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings). the current mileage was 165,000 and failure mileage was 150,000.

I have had my trailblazer for 6 months (since 9-29-03). i bought it used and have taken it in to get things that have gone wrong with it checked. i bought the 3/36,000 warranty and have not benefited from it. i have read that there was recall on the front lower control arm brackets, which may fracture. i took it in because i was hearing a noise when i turned. they told me what the problem was and i drove it for another month while the parts were being ordered and the ok from gm to cover this repair. i have taken it in to solve the problem of the tail lights to keep burning out and failing. i have received many warnings from legal authorities and my response is that i did not know and have just gotten it fixed. i also have a problem with the engine dying while driving, idling, or accelerating. dealership says that they are trying to reproduce the situation but cannot. i know that it happenned, just fix it. i have tried to trade it in, but owe too much still and i am very unhappy with gm and their approved dealership. *ak
