From first attempt to use the spare tire lowering device it has not worked. goes down about three inches and stops. tire cannot be removed. this is a problem when stuck on the highway and is a real safety concern. chevy has told me that nothing covers this. i am reporting this so that if other people are experiencing the same problem it will be rectified. *tr

I had a flat tire. it took the aaa person 45 minutes to remove the spare tire. he indicated that the nut was rusted (the vehicle is a 2002 trailblazer) and therefore stuck/unremovable. it took several tries and he had to put it back several times after trying to force it out. i obviously would not have been able to change my tire myself.*ak
