Hi there - i own a 2005 chevy trailblazer. at 40,000 miles, i had my truck serviced at the dealership with the complaint that my driver's seat belt locks as i try to put it on. at times, this has meant that i have had to drive without my seatbelt on because i simply cannot get it unlocked. i even purchased what the dealership termed to me as a bumper to bumper warranty - and they still have refused to fix the problem because it is intermittent and they have not been able to reproduce the problem! i see that the exact same problem was noted and recalled on 2002 trailblazers - and from my experience, i think it is time to also include the 2005 trailblazers on this recall as well. *tr

Purchased 2005 chevrolet trailblazer ls oct.28 06. since then, to date, veh. has been in shop (dealership 4x). 1. brake repair. all 4 calipers were replaced. this vehicle had only 22,000. miles. in shop very 1st week of purchase. 2. been complaining of flickering lights. was handed a gmc printout stating they did not know cause. so therefore the dealership, hood chevrolet, covington la. could not do anything about it. 3. complained of engine acceleration while applying brake, coming to a stop or a slow speed in a parking lot. fear that i may crash into someone. received printout from gm stating this was normal. but i see this is a hazard. 4. complained of seat belt riding on the neckline, restricting blood flow in left artery on neck. i see this a major problem. i commute 26 miles one way to work at a hospital. i thought i would be safer driving my trailblazer, now i fear for my life. 5. complained of popping on front end. service had to order sway links and replace. did not solve problem, still have frontal popping while turning left or right, reverse and forward. it is progressively getting worse. found out gm certified tech. did not properly align calibers when installed. i have paid to much for this $23,000. lemon. action should be taken. sarah dykes, bogalusa louisiana. *nm

My seat belt comes accross the lower part of my neck when driving. two dealers agree the seat belt does not fit me properly, so i called gm they said there is nothing they can do. if i am in a accident i will sustain more injuries due to the seat belt. i am 5ft 8in avarage size person. i am a paramedic and feel uncomfortble wearing the seat.

2005 rental trail blazer from enterprise on 11/1/2005 failed to lock the seat belt properly to hold me back from hitting the steering wheel. i know this was also a problem on the 2002 trail blazers and some other suvs. gm was to send out an investigator to look at it, but because they waited too long, enterprise put the suv back on the road. i am not sure if they fixed the seat belt or not. i can not get information from them. gm says my injury is not compensated because the vehicle is not in the exact shape now as it was when i drove it. my medical bills and injury is not important to gm, i talked to sean kelly at esis who handles these kind of claims for gm and he told me it was my responsiblity to find out if the suv i had was fixed or not. that is not right, and i think there are a lot of other vehicles out there with defects on the seat belts, but until you have to hit the brakes very hard and fast to avoid an accident that is when the seat belt does not work properly.*ak

Seat belt in center of rear seat does not fit and adult, only a child or car seat,as passengers are required by law in many states to wear seat belts this creates a very unsafe and illegal situation, dealer states general motors has no plans to correct problem
